Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Expo 2020 Dubai is ready for action with a whole host of chefs, concepts and restaurants awaiting discovery as international chefs fly in to shake up the city’s restaurant scene and redefine Dubai’s culinary story.
From LA to Singapore, from Beirut to London this month sees some of the world’s best restaurants land in Dubai for the very first time. Including Scarpetta’s first-ever burrata bar, David Myers’ ADRIFT Burger Bar and Kutir by Rohit Ghai.

Named “the perfect burger” by The New York Times, chef David Myers’ epic burger recipe has travelled from LA to Tokyo, from Singapore to Dubai. After a decade on the road, David launched ADRIFT Burger Bar in his hometown, Venice Beach, in 2020. Serving signature burgers, grown-up shakes and crispy sides, ADRIFT Burger Bar embraces David’s Californian roots with hints of his travels etched across the menu.

London-based bakery Bread Ahead makes its UAE debut at Expo 2020 Dubai. With a cult-following with Londoners and food fanatics across the globe, Bread Ahead will bring its signature doughnuts – try the classic vanilla or salted honeycomb and caramel combination. Sourdough pizzas will also be sold by the slice, created the Bread Ahead way, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. Bread Ahead will also run a series of baking workshops with their on-site bakery school, led by masterful tutors. Join Bread Ahead for an insight into the art of artisan baking.

Jubilee Gastronomy presents a schedule of unique gastronomy experiences at their signature Chef’s Table concept. Hosting an intimate lunch and dinner degustation experience every Tuesday throughout Expo 2020 Dubai, 26 of the world’s greatest chefs will create a signature four and nine-course menu, followed by appearances from celebrated local chefs twice weekly. Jubilee’s signature menu by Chef Guilherme will be available throughout. Look out for local chef Saverio Sbaragli from Al Muntaha on Saturday, October 30. Jubilee Mixology, the rooftop bar, is a destination in itself, try a sample of lighter bites along with breathtaking views at the open-air venue.

Inspired by the markets and street food of Thailand, Long Chim brings the flavours of modern Bangkok to Perth’s historic state buildings. Meaning “come and taste” in Thai, Long Chim aims to capture all the excitement and tastes of the streets of Bangkok.

Scarpetta will be bringing its first-ever burrata bar to the UAE. The philosophy of Scarpetta’s kitchen is one of creating bold flavors by amplifying the essence of seasonal ingredients. The signature pastas are made in–house daily and are paired with the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients. Scarpetta’s famous Spaghetti Tomato & Basil is nothing short of classic simplicity in both taste and preparation.

BARON is a local space, spreading from the inside out; organic in their approach and delivery. Based in Beirut, the team’s background is complex and while they hail from some of the finest dining establishments in the world, they just want to be your favourite neighbourhood joint. BARON’s menu comes from Beirut’s farmers markets, Tripoli fishing boats, Bekka Valley fields.

US-based chef Geoffrey Zakarian brings to life his vision of a contemporary grand café at The National. The menu offers Zakarian’s signature modern American cuisine – a style of cooking that has earned him critical acclaim. It’s fresh and accessible, concentrating on seasonal ingredients prepared with classic techniques.

Café Milano is effortlessly chic, featuring the Italian passion for beauty, food, social interaction, excellence and gracious hospitality. Kojaki is a world exclusive Japanese and Korean fusion concept. The menu is the perfect mix of Korean and Japanese cuisine, including Korean barbecue and Japanese robata. With a vibrant & chic, yet intimate ambiance, Kojaki’s design elements give it a sense of luxury. As well as the restaurant, the bar & lounge areas help to fulfil a complete high-end dining and entertainment experience.

Famous Rohit’s Ghai restaurant – Kutir pays homage to India’s rich heritage and wildlife – with a modern menu inspired by the history and splendour of this magnificent part of the world. Rohit worked and headed kitchens at some of London’s leading Indian restaurants such as Benares, Trishna, Gymkhana, Hoppers and most recently Jamavar and Bombay Bustle. He is the first Indian chef to have won a Michelin star for Jamavar within ten months of the restaurant’s opening.

Created by London-based pastry chef Kimberly Lin, Floozie Cookie makes its Dubai debut offering signature 100% vegan ‘stuffed cookies’ in five mouth-watering flavours including PB & J and Raspberry Fudge. Try the signature cookie sundae with your choice of soft serve, cookie and crunch. Available to take away.
