Export Saint Lucia has rubbished allegations that Saint Lucia’s booth at Expo Dubai 2020 is closed because of a COVID outbreak.
“The Saint Lucia Team would like to reassure our well-wishers that Saint Lucia’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai has remained open since the commencement of the Expo on October 1, 2021,” the organization said in a statement Wednesday in the wake of allegations circulating on social media.
“At no time has the pavilion been closed due to COVID-19 related issues. Although COVID-19 remains a worldwide concern, the health of our staff is paramount. Should the pavilion have to close down at any time, the Saint Lucian public and our visitors in Dubai will be alerted,” the statement continued.
According to a senior official at Export Saint Lucia who spoke to Loop News Wednesday, Team Saint Lucia has been doing pretty well since the start of the Expo.
“From next week we have a number of events and activities being planned for Expo. Beginning this month and leading up to Saint Lucia’s Independence celebrations,” the official said.
The activities include a fashion show and concert, just a few surprises lined up
“The Saint Lucia Team thanks everyone for your continued support & asks that you continue to follow this page for factual information & updates from the Saint Lucia pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai,” the statement said.
