Canadian immigration and investment advice at Canada Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai – Gulf News

Canadian consultancy says visitors can attend free events to get insight on various topics
Dubai: Canada has ‘The Future in Mind’ for its participation at Expo 2020 Dubai, and helping the pavilion realise its vision is the management consultancy and business accelerator To Toronto Inc. If you have always wanted to spend a semester abroad or set up a business in Canada, the firm is hosting four events at the country pavilion to get you started.
“The UAE is Canada’s biggest export market in the Mena region and investors have always been attracted to opportunities in Canada,” said Dawinder Singh, CEO-Partner at To Toronto Inc. “From our experiences, we know there are a lot of people from the region interested in what Canada has to offer for them, be it trade, investments, education or immigration. Being a world event, Expo 2020 Dubai will surely be a confluence of bright minds, ideas and exchanges.”
The firm, based in Oakville and Waterloo, is known for helping start-ups and foreign entrepreneurs relocate, grow and scale from the North American country.
“Canada has always been a magnet when it comes to attracting talent from across the world. Some of the world’s best universities are [found here], which is also a global trade hub where entrepreneurs benefit from its NAFTA and other free trade agreements with the G7 bloc,” said Singh.
Through in-house events at the Canada Pavilion, the firm will specifically target immigration, investment, start-ups and businesses starting from October. Hosted in collaboration with the Canadian Government, the events are free of cost – all interested visitors have to do is book their seats through the website (totoronto.ca/dubai-expo-2020.php).
Mark the following dates for upcoming events at the pavilion:
The circular building of the Canada Pavilion takes the shape of a larger-than-life drum, fenced by wooden latticework that is directly inspired by the mashrabiya architecture. The country hopes to connect with cultures around the world through this symbolic instrument used for storytelling. Within, there is a 360-degree theatre experience that will take visitors through all the four seasons of Canada.
