Alicia Keys to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai – Gulf News

The Grammy-winning artist will perform material from her upcoming album
If for some reason you still haven’t visited Expo 2020 Dubai, here’s a special reason for you to do so. Grammy winner and celebrated singer and songwriter Alicia Keys will take centre stage at the event on December 10. Part of Infinite Nights series, Alicia will be the first global music superstar to perform at Expo 2020. The event will be held at Al Wasl Plaza from 22:00 UAE time.
Alicia will also reveal her new double album Keys at the event. With a celebrated musical career spanning over two decades, Alicia Keys will also treat the audience with selected material from her new album, along with staples from over the years.
The concert is in alignment with Expo 2020’s sub-theme of Opportunity, which strives to unlock the potential of individuals and communities to shape the future. The concert ties in with the sub-theme as it promises to deliver uplifting music for the audience.
For global audiences there are options to enjoy the ground-breaking event, as well. The concert will be livestreamed and fans can view the bespoke concert on VirtualExpoDubai.com, Expo TV on YouTube, Expo 2020’s Facebook page and Oculus VR (Virtual Reality) for an immersive experience.
Alicia Keys is a global icon, thanks to her unique brand of music. She launched her first album Songs in A Minor, with J Records 20 years ago in 2001. Not only did the album garner critical acclaim, it was also a commercial success and gave Alicia her first Billboard Hot 100 number-one single – Fallin sold over 12 million copies worldwide and forged her name on the global music industry. Songs in A Minor got Alicia five Grammy Awards in 2002.
